Givi 340F Monorack Arms - Yamaha FZS600 Fazer

This is well made. It's best to have somebody help as it can be a bit fiddly. It was easy to fit once I got a second pair of hands.

Having a Givi box from an older bike I thought this would be an easy install, yet I've have to buy 2 additional parts as this kit is literally the arms, yes I know it said the picture is. It is the item but one would assume the kit comes with at least the flat ends in the picture that you would attach plate to. I have had to buy both a new plate and an adaptor Kit to make the connection between the arms and plate. It's a shame it couldn't have been staged this was the case as I would have looked at different options, all in and other plate cost £40 then the adaptor Kit coat £40. I would have bought these from here but found them same price elsewhere but without the shipping.

Fitted on Yamaha 02 (Foxeye) - which involved filing (widening holes) and trying to bend metal to fit. One arm was about 4mm shorter than the other - which was exactly the same on another set I ordered. SBS staff checked the sets they had in stock and same problem with all. Perhaps a manufacturing issue (but don't know as Givi never got back to me...). Highly impressed with SBS for customer service, highly unimpressed with Givi for a shoddy product. If you buy, make sure you know someone with a metal file and some time.

It's a great rack, nice and solid, but it's not really what's shown in the picture - to fit a box you're going to need a Givi top plate and converters that turn the open ends of the rails into a platform. Buying rails + top plate + box solves the problem (and if you buy a Kappa box, like I did, you're still going to need to buy the Givi top plate as well). Unlike other reviews here, everything fitted into place well for me. Awesome service from Sportsbikeshop who worked out what was needed and sorted everything out nice and quickly.

On Yamaha Fazer FZS 600 '02 (Foxeye) this was hard to fit. One of the parts, arm support, was impossible to fit without some bending on it with vice/hammer/tools... Even after that, arms are not in line along all mounting points, which cause stress on them. Finally, after bolting all that, arms at the end are to far away from each other, which making fixing mounting plate another hassle and adding more stress on bolts/arms/frame etc. Help of 2nd person is recommended and some basic DYI skills. Other then that: very good rack -> rock solid
