Held Wet Tour Pants - Black

I needed to buy an extra layer as my 'waterproof' jeans proved to be not quite: these were the most cost effective option.
I can only rate these as good as I have not experienced a downpour since the purchase. The other 5 star reviews suggest I will not be let down.
I was advised to order large, I am an M usually, and that was spot on and the fit and extra warmth were welcome during the recent icy weather.

We purchased two pairs of these pants to replace our far more expensive Harley Davidson waterproofs, that have not lasted very long, lost their waterproof quality's quickly and we're unable to re-proof them. These pants are better constructed, with non slip seat, great fitting around the legs with no 'bell bottom ' effect for the shorter leg. 100% waterproof, yet totally breathable and dry inside when warm, no condensation inside. The matching jacket is excellent with a hood that tucks into a high collar, stopping rain getting in the front and down the back of your helmet. Again an excellent fit with no billowing of material when riding. With our old Harley jackets we had to tuck the hoods inside the jacket, and frequently they would come out and flap like crazy, until you had to stop to tuck them back in - no more! They also have heat shields on the legs, which is what we needed for forward controls. Would definitely buy these again.

I had researched biking waterproofs and Held Wet Tour came out as a good all rounder. They do the job and are breathable too although in stationary traffic they can get a little stuffy.

The was my first purchase with SBS and I was impressed. They price matched a low price for these trousers on eBay. The trousers are a good fit and I would recommend you follow the size guide on the website. They are very well made and easy to put on and take off. I got caught in a massive downpour recently and my legs we 100% dry. Unlike the cheaper bin bag type over-trouser, the reinforced seat, stops you sliding around on your saddle when its really raining hard. Its one of those facts of life, in that you get what you pay for.

It really is worth paying for quality like this. Still light enough to fold down into a pretty small package (in its own net stuff sack) yet strong enough to fell like they will last. Not tried in the wet yet but no reason to doubt their waterproofness. They are not 'sticky' on the inside (as no PVC) and should be comfortable to wear for several hours without giving you a free sauna. Very pleased. Usual first class service from SBS too.

A good functional design which fits me well over my leathers. I'm 6' 1" tall, 33" waist. They are of a robust build and I have no doubt that I'll have them for many years to come.

Bought these along with the Fluo yellow matching jacket. Wore both in gale conditions and arrived home dry and warm, when even my Gore-tex Alpinestars gloves soaked through. Construction is solid, taped seams, decent material and no issues with condensation. Considered going cheaper, but bought these and glad I did. Expensive, but very effective!

Have been tested in heavy rain and kept dry. Definitely worth paying a little more for good quality.

Not tried out in a major downpour hence 4 stars but appear to be great quality. Particularly like the extra pad on the seat. Easy to get on and off.

Quality rain pants but bottom of legs too narrow for off-road boots.
