K&N Rarely fail to hit the mark

K&N very rarely fail to hit the mark. There have been complaints that these filters don't always fit the Sprint airbox and that they're the wrong shape, but I've ordered four now, 1 for my Speed Triple, 1 for my Sprint and 2 for friends Sprints and they have all been a perfect fit.

Simply put you do not get any better than K&N Filters. My only regret was not getting one sooner.

Quality well made product with a really good guarentee which will last the lifetime of the bike.

Nice Upgrade

Easy to fit as it is a direct replacement for the OEM filter. Made of a harder compound plastic than the original but it seals into place just the same.
The filter has made a difference to the performance of the bike, revs seem to come on more smoothly and I seem to have more torque throughout the range. Induction sound has changed as well. MPG on the last 2 tanks of fuel have improved too. I have fitted K&N filters to my previous bikes and have always been pleased.

2nd time lucky - Poor moulding

Like one or two others, I received one that didn't fit, was quite a bit out - turns out to be a recurring issue on the Triumphrat forums. Returned for replacement from Sportsbikeshop and second one fitted better, though still not quite right. Had to keep in place then mantain even pressure on box cover to ensure it seated correctly. Its great when running, just not good mould tooling / tolerancing!

Pretty poor quality

Having had k&n filters before I figured this was the obvious choice. However the quality of the moulding is so poor that it is impossible to fit - it is about 5mm out so the screw does not line up and will not seal on the airbox. As the frame is rigid (other k&ns I have had have been ribber) it is not possible to persuade it to fit. Doing a quick google search this seem to be a common problem so returned and bought an alternative.

What a difference a K & N air filter makes

OK, so the old filter was a bit dirty, but installing this one (that fits perfectly) has totally transformed the bike. Breathing so much better and a great induction roar when you open the throttle. And the best bit is you can clean it to keep that performance going. Great product.

Perfect replacement & a good investment

A great investment that should last the life of the bike. K & N filters are a great product, well engineered and fit perfectly. I would recommend this product to everyone, the filter is only slightly more expensive than the Triumph OE part and will never need replacing - only cleaning.

Simple to clean

Not an exact fit

When installing the K & N air filter I found that the air filter did not seat up with the airbox as an exact match. It kept popping up off the rim. I just hope that the air filter is pushed flush by the air box lid.
