I bought a shark speed r helmet but only came with a dark visor.
I done the usual search and found this one at a much lower price than other outlets.

Been really happy with buying online. I own 2 Shark Speed R's which have been great lids but the visors get chipped from the mileage I do. I'll order from here, its cheapest I've found and they arrive within 48hrs

Scratch resistant

I bought this as a replacement visor as my old one which I'd had for 2 years broke. The visor clip mechanism broke on the side and it is hard to get spares. I decided to go for a new visor. Although not cheap the quality is high. Same spec as the Moto GP riders. The visor is very thick and is scratch resistant. The cost might put you off but for 2 years riding including commuting in all weathers I don't think is bad.

Said Shakespeare, but on this occasion my expectations were surpassed. I was looking for a replacement visor after the anti-fog coating on my original visor started to peel away. Thankfully Sportsbikeshop had the solution, the Pinlock ready visor fitted perfectly (with a small adjustment to the tension on the locking cams) and this insert fitted into the visor without a hitch, I'm now back to fog free riding and my heart no longer aches at the thought of ploughing into something or someone due to a steamed up visor!

Pinlock slots in perfectly

Finally got round to upgrading to a Pinlock. No drilling was required to the visor to fit the Pinlock layer. Visor is very high quality and makes a great seal to keep wind and noise low.

Clear vision at last.

Original visor had 30k on it and this was clearly needed. Can see at last!! A little tight to fit but that's the factory settings. With a little adjustment it fits perfectly. Excellent service from Sportsbikeshop as usual.

Pinlock visor for a Shark Speed R. Helmet

The visor is heavier than the standard one. So needs the visor locking cams friction adjustment to be turned up. This stops you taking the visor off with out the alien key.
A small price to pay for fog free and draft free Helmet.
The visor lock down clip is too small to be easily released with a gloved hand but you need not lock the visor shut to keep the cold out.
I ride in the cold, most of the time fog free but my glasses do fog up behind the face mask. Fixed with Bob Heath Anti fog Spray on the glasses.
