The first thing I noticed is the build quality followed by the weight: it's well made and is exceptionally light. Also note that to fit it correctly you'll need to buy a graphite gasket.
It comes with the MOT saving DB killer which can easily be removed if such is your wish. It sounds lovely with the baffle fitted and superhero dream inducing all dogs will run for cover without it.
Does it have any effect on my bike? The answer has to be yes. Simple physics tells us that increasing the power to weight ratio gives us a performance improvement. Am I bothered? Not really. For me it's about the aesthetics. It simply looks lovely and that works for me.
The guys at the shop are as good as you've been told. Buy with confidence.
