Since fitting new brake lines, on my 2013 bike, I haven't noticed any improvement in the performance of the front brake, on the road. I have not tested on the track yet, hopefully that will be improved. Fitting hoses was simple enough, I had three hoses in one bag, two front - full length, one rear, none of the hoses were labelled up so you have to work out for yourself which hose goes where, which end goes to caliper and which goes to the master cylinder. On the plus side, the slim line and the blue outer colour hoses look a big improvement on standard black rubber hoses.

HEL Performance brake lines replace rubber hoses which are fitted to most bikes as standard. The stainless braided hoses provide better braking feel by reducing the flex in the hose; flex in the rubber hoses cause the spongy brake lever feel, reducing performance and increasing braking distance. Brake lines are bike specific therefore a direct replacement for the existing line.

Racing kits take the shortest route from the master cylinder to the caliper. The lines usually bypass any Y-splitters in the existing system, this reduces the number of places where the brakes can leak.
