I was shocked when the socks arrived how thin they were, but surprised how well they keep my feet warm these last few weeks in some very cold weather.
I wish they were a little thicker on the soles but in all comfy warm sock

I'm a UK 12 / EU 47 and bought two pairs of the XL. While the socks are comfortable & warm, they're certainly not 'knee length' and pull up to mid-shin level only.
My calves are not overly muscular either (although I'm a runner), but they're pretty tight on the calves - in saying that they do stay in position.
If you're looking for a truly knee length sock, that's also warm & comfortable I would choose the RST - I have several pairs and will be buying those instead again.

Great, thick and well structured. These winter socks go well with ankle high boots which I use to ride all year round. Socks too thick for warm Spring and Summer riding as they are very warm. In colder temperatures you don't notice the chill creeping in between boots and waterproof trousers.

These are Good warm knee length socks. No ordinary socks can keep your feet warm indefinitely in very cold weather, if you are out long enough, the cold will eventually penetrate.

They comfy but supportive socks wrong choice for really hot days though but with vented boots it's ok.they have extra padded parts wear points of impact could occur should the worst happen. But they make the socks very comfy in my opinion. Pricey socks but comfort is worth the extra in my opinion

Sizing very tight

Ordered XL as I have the Held summer socks in XL, and they fit well.
Size 10 feet. These socks are very tight and yet they don't do a larger size.
Have worn twice so cannot return but will not be using for long journey as too restrictive.
Hence poor rating. Shame as quite warm.

Wanted a long sock for my Sidi Adventure 2's. Just the job. Well padded in all the right places. Keep my feet warm on a cold day. Even got an L and R on the toe end so I know which foot is which.

These are excellent warm knee length socks. No ordinary socks can keep your feet warm indefinitely in very cold weather, if you are out long enough, the cold will eventually penetrate. But these do the job better than many others I've tried.

Used on 3hr ride in 0 deg on motorway and duel carriage roads.
My boots are Alpinstars SMX Gortex and I needed a decent pair of socks.
Kept my feet nice for quite some time but my toes did get a little cold near the end of the day.
Great fit for my size 10 UK / 45 Euro also just the right length.

Much better than the two pairs of hiking socks I was wearing previously ... good length too - nice and long. I rode for four hours in -4 the other day and my toes, although still cold, felt much better than they had done after similar rides prior to getting these socks.

These are a great pair of socks, albeit a tad expensive compared to some of the opposition.

Just make sure you keep them away from any Velcro, on your boots for example!

Well worth a winter buy

I've worn any number of different thermal socks for biking or hiking but these outperform them all in keeping feet warm. They could be a titchy bit better at staying up around the calves in a touring boot but other than that, they're excellent.
