Cool lightweight lid
06 December 2021 by Roy
Been looking at this helmet for a while now & finally bought one. This has a great looking design but what surprised me most is how light it feels - way lighter than my current helmet. Really happy with that. Haven't been out on the road with it yet as the bike needs some work but I'm sure it'll be absolutely fine. Light, comfortable and looks good. Love it!

Nostalgic aged look

Didn't want "bling bling" lid for the scrambler; this is legal, simple, light and fits my reequipment perfectly, with goggles & face mask it so looks the part!
Job done (Thanks )

Good Choice
01 June 2021 by Andrew B
I wanted a UK certified helmet that would look cool when riding my Matt Green Triumph Street Scrambler.
It Is very light and very comfortable and Is not oversized like a lot of jet helmets.
The chin strap Is quick release ratchet fastening and Is also very comfortable.
It Is a cool looking very affordable helmet for riders of cruisers and bobbers that will do the same job as much more expensive helmets.
Get yourself a pair of aviators and enjoy the ride.

Caberg Freeride
16 June 2020 by Andy C
Love it! I bought a Monkey bike (yellow), it's a great match. But it is really comfy and easy to slip on and off than other helmets I have tried while still feeling tight and secure. It looks amazing and comes with optional visor.

Great helmet
13 May 2020 by Shane K
Looks great and fits well. It is very light as stated. Don't expect the same quality or protection as you'd get from a full face Arai.
I'll wear it for short trips.
Not worn on the road yet due to the lockdown!

Cool
01 November 2019 by P M
This is by far the best open face I have bought in 40 yrs. Great fit, really comfortable lining, detachable is a bonus for cleaning we have all had a favourite lid that over time gets manky, problem solved with this one. The rust effect is cool and you don't look like you have a massive ball on your head when you wear it. I tried about 5 different lids before I bought this, some looked great until you put it on then instantly you look like pumpkin head thank god for amazon returns then I caught a review and gave the freeride a whirl
Happy now

GOOD QUALITY/GOOD FIT
25 August 2019 by Nick M
I bought a Caberg Stunt helmet from SportsBikeShop a couple of years ago and was impressed with the ratchet system for the strap (the best fitting system I have encountered) and the spot-on fit and thought I'd take the plunge with this open-face offering for use when riding the Can-Am F3-S. It fits well and looks good, too. I wouldn't wear it when ridng my MT-01, though.

Very cool lid

Nice fitting and good quality. I know not the safest way to ride a bike but not every day your doing long runs and these are just the ticket for the retro rides.
Fits snug and not massive looking on head.

Smallest, lightest legal helmet I've ever owned
08 July 2018 by Ancient H
I've had this helmet 4 months now. It has to be the smallest, lightest legal helmet I've ever owned.

It's the only open faced I have that doesn't make me look like the crazy frog!

Really cool helmet
25 May 2018 by Godfrey D
Fantastic look and feel to this helmet, it really feels like surface rust. Unfortunately my head doesn't suit the shape, even tightly fastened a little pressure with my finger at the front and the helmet rolled back on my head a few inches so it would certainly have moved in the wind. I'm gutted.

Went for XXL, same as my Shoei Multitec, and the fit is perfect. High quality detailing, helmet looks and feels like a premium item. Very pleased!

Light weight summer helmet...
24 April 2017 by John B
This is a really light weight helmet - very comfortable and easy to wear. Being open face the vision it offers ( even with visor fitted ) is amazing.
Fit seemed 'normal'-Large was my size as with other helmets.
Profile of helmet is very low...just the lid to wear on a Harley, retro or classic bike. It is a good looking piece of kit.
Finish is excellent and the removable lining is one of the easiest I've come across to take out and refit.
Only cons as far as I am concerned are that the chin strap feels a little flimsy ( it's not...just feels it) and is slightly too far back towards my throat.
All in all a fabulous little helmet...if only for summer use since there's so little of it that it's quite chilly!! Using the easy to fit / remove visor does improve things slightly....but really it's more fun in full 'open face' mode.
As ever, dealing with Sportsbikeshop was an absolute pleasure!

Trusty Rusty
17 April 2017 by Roger
I'm not disappointed with buying this Caberg helmet online, which is a bit of a gamble size wise.
I think the helmet measurements are bang - on so don't go smaller than your head measurement; if anything allow 1 cm as I did, for a perfect fit wearing my spectacles
The rusty look is better than I imagined with it's textured finish.
The quality is very good and the visa is excellent.
As the helmet is new to me, I can't comment on how it will stand up to maximum use but to date I'm very pleased with my purchase and delivery, packaging and return policy.

Questions and Answers

Questions and Answers

  • Can you supply a visor for this helmet and is it fixed or flip-up? Many thanks, Alan.

    May 28, 2018

These come with a clear, flip up visor that can be attached.

  • My head size is 58.5 should i go medium or large?

    September 12, 2017

We would always advise to go for a slightly snug helmet over a slightly large helmet as in time the helmet will only get bigger.
