Been using it about two weeks, and it's been raining like hell in the UK Summer... The little closure on the lock is amazing to keep debris and mud out of the mechanism, the cloth is pretty good and does not scuff the spokes, looks very sturdy. Really happy with it. Can't see why I'd spend double the price with other brands...

Value chain and lock

I purchased this mid priced chain and lock and have been very happy with it. There were products that were 3 - 4 x more expensive but this one is great. Very robust! Not too expensive. Feels very substantial. Which is exactly what you want from this type of product.

Cheap secure feeling lock

For me, it does the same as even expensive locks. Feels very hard so would be hard to cut, (but I'm a first time biker have no idea about the expensive locks). Nice length so can chain it up to something if need be. Heavy but that obviously comes with the security.

It is OK for the price. I also own one of the equivalent Oxford chains and I have a feeling that the padlock is slightly better made there. Anyway, nothing really wrong with this one.

Hardened solid steel lock body with a double ball bearing locking system and 11mm Cr-Mo shackle, reinforced cylinder plates, anti pick, anti drill. Combined with a 9.5mm x 1.2m steel chain supplied with a nylon dust cover to protect bodywork.

November 21, 2017Unfortunately not, sorry. You would need to purchase a lock such as the Oxford Hardcore XL Chain which is Thatcham approved.
