Priceless!!!
21 July 2023 by Vik
Priceless for touring!!! I bought this and also another metal clamp type cruise control gadget from Amazon to compare, I'm doing a tour of Europe and have done 4,000 miles so far so have thoroughly tested both! I bought the regular size for my ZZR 1400 and it fits perfectly, has not moved after all those miles and massively saved my right hand! I don't think I could have managed this much mileage in 6 weeks without it. The metal clamp in comparison got binned after 100 miles as it couldn't keep the speed (was either accelerating or decelerating) and when I needed to break suddenly it delayed the throttle roll off and getting on the brakes, so it didn't work and was dangerous! I would definitely recommend the Gear Gremlin cruise control!

This thing changed my wrist issues
06 June 2023 by Yannick C
I had very bad wrist issues for multiple reasons including riding. This has completely changed my riding.
My wrist are much better thanks to other restorative excercises, but I can tell that this the cruise control takes a lot of strain off the wrist and I barely have to use it at most streets, even off road.
I'd recommend it to anyone!

Good addition

Tried one of these years ago without the shaped extension and didn't like. This seems much better and helps on those long journeys. Worth a try.

Good for cruising, not so good for slow speeds
20 July 2020 by Ryan H
I used this for 750 miles on a long weekend trip to the Lake District.
Great for cruising on open stretches of road as you can just rest your hand on it, helping to relieve tension in your fingers... but at slow speed, I found it got in the way a bit and made slow speed riding a bit jerky...

Best money I've ever spent

Just buy it. You have to adapt your riding style, but really saves the wrist!

Not for me!
08 June 2019 by Philip C
I can't fault the build quality, or value for money but I didn't get along with this for my style of riding. On the open road, where I could rest my hand on it as designed for cruising, it was fine - fantastic even. But as I use my bike for commuting as well, I found it just gets in the way at lower speeds, and specifically ruins my ability to maintain fine throttle control in corners. Your mileage may vary, but this device and I just didn't get along.

Difficult to say
11 September 2018 by Leslie A
SBS didn't have the narrow "control" in stock so ordered the wide one. It works, and makes for easy cruising at a set speed, but it's just too wide, and is in the way when braking. I took it off and stuck it in my pocket. I'll give it another go, but am thinking of cutting it in two to narrow it down. It may be workable then.

Works well

I've used these before so knew what to expect. If you have not tried one, they do take a bit of getting used to.
That's because when you don't need to use it, which is usually on short rides and/or in traffic, it can get in the way until you are familiar with its presence. It means you grip the throttle slightly differently to before you fit it.
Where it becomes really effective is on longer rides when your hand might become tired, especially on motorways or similar at roughly constant speeds where there is not much throttle movement. You can then relax your grip and palm the control.
I like these gadgets but probably not for everyone.

Not impressed
28 June 2018 by Sarah M
I tried this a couple of times and really couldn't get on with it. It is great when you are going a long distance as you don't have to grip so hard and you can get the speed and just hold it steady. However when you slow down and riding through traffic you over rev and don't have the control you need. I would have returned it but I ended up pulling it off at traffic lights and chucking it !!

Having had pain in my wrist on even short rides, I was desperate for something to help. I have found the cruise control has made a huge difference. Easy to fit, very easy to get used to, even round town and no pain. Fantastic !!

A must for long distances
17 April 2018 by Mark E
I've used a throttle rocker for many years and couldn't live without one now. The previous one came direct from the US when you couldn't really get them in the UK. I thought I'd try this one to see if it clamped a bit more tightly to stop the handlebar grip rotating slowly over time. It does that perfectly. It's a bit wider than the one it replaces but after a few minutes I didn't notice the difference. Thoroughly recommended.

Good stuff

Does what its supposed to, if bought again I would go for a different brand that's not so wide in the palm area like the Scottoiler version on this website. Fits over my heated Oxford grips on my Ninja 650 fine, tight to get on but fits.

Still not sure
06 November 2017 by David B
Got size Large to use over heated grips. Whilst it certainly does what you expect at a great price, I'm still trying to find a comfortable position. I will persevere how however, but it will only get used on long motorway journeys. Careful when you first fit it, as throttle control can be difficult if set too high.
