Winter riding gets more comfortable

Fitted these grips and immediately more comfortable on my 1:15hr commute.
The toggle button switch with this model is a much neater solution than the std controller, and very easy to use with thick gloves. Disconnected the LED - no need for it and creates an unnecessary hole. Tap into the ignition circuit - it's easier to reach on a scooter and more reliable than using a battery connection.
An essential piece of kit for winter riding.

I was delighted at the quick delivery to France, Sportsbikeshop always provide an excellent service, but not very pleased that the Oxford hot grips for my scooter didn't work. The Scooter shop who will fit the device are trying to source a new control button locally. I still have freezing hands but hope for warmer ones soon!

I purchased the heated grips for my partner who rides a scooter into work everyday (40min commute). He raves about them. Says they have really made riding the bike in the winter more enjoyable.

Low setting is pretty much pointless, the warmth isn't enough to penetrate winter riding gloves...however high setting works perfectly. Rode with it on for 3 hours, kept my hands nice and toasty and didn't drain the battery.

These have been declared the best present I've ever bought my boyfriend. Really helps his hands on those long, cold, winter commutes to work. They were installed on a Peugeot 125 Vivacity. Can't comment on the user-friendliness of installation as I had a professional take care of it.

Excellent product but tricky to fit

Great product once I got it working. These are a bit trickier to fit than the big bike version as you need to drill holes into spare plastic on your dashboard/ inner fairing.
The controller slots in easy enough but I found the LED was harder to fit as I had to try to fit it up through the hole. It is hard to get this the right size as if too small it will not fit through!
Once fitted though, great product and does keep hands nice and warm. Would reccomend to others.

January 23, 2018The scooter grips come with a on/off rocker switch that requires drilling to fit - the commuter grips come with a bracket that mounts the controller unit to the handlebars. There is no reason why you should not fit the Sports or Touring grips to your scooter, giving you the option of more heat settings.
