Cheap price, handy little puck style case. Easy to hide away under seat or in a pannier. And there if you ever need it. I've used these type of kits to rescue situations a few times, not just cable repairs but also for tying up snapped exhausts or securing broken parts.
Just buy them before you need them.

The items are very good and plenty of choice to suit different cables. My only disappointment was the flimsy plastic container that they came in. I was expecting a tin from the picture.
