This Garmin Zumo XT replaced a Garmin Zumo 340 Sat Nav (also bought from Sportsbikeshop a few years ago). This new one is a superb piece of kit. A larger screen, fast in operation, gives clear and precise junction information and has not failed me in any way as yet. It was easy to set up to connect to my Interphone intercom and reconnects very quickly after being turned off. Other bonus is that it will play music, loaded my music collection onto a SD card and slipped it into the XT, saves my phone battery and no need for a separate M|P3 player. Overall highly delighted with the XT even though I am still learning about all its capabilities.

As always the service from the Sportsbikeshop is exemplary. Next day delivery is what everyone wants so they certainly deliver on that.

Now the sat-nav. I have had my Zumo 396 for years but on my last ride it failed. After several attempts to fix it with factory resets and updates, I gave up.

I then bought the Garmin XT and what a revelation it was. The screen is so much bigger than the 396 so I can actually see it properly and it works in portrait or landscape mode. It has loads of features and works better with MyRoute-app than the 396 did.

I really couldn't afford this XT, but I'm glad I took the plunge and bought it. My only gripe about the XT is that the cradle it clicks into doesn't seem very secure, but overall I am very pleased with it and the service from the sportsbikeshop.

The Garmin XT 2 is a step change from the 595 it has great clarity.
The new menu will take some getting used to, time will tell.
The case does not appear to be as robust as the previous model.
