Richa Atlantic Gore-Tex Textile Jacket - Grey

I waited a while before writing this review till I came back from a round trip from Fife to Portsmouth, about 1000 miles. First time I wished for rain and boy did it, both ways. After loads of torrential rain I remained bone dry underneath. Very comfortable to wear and good quality feel. When off the bike the liner acts as a separate jacket and looks reasonably smart. Quite a bit cheaper than the competition without skimping on features. I would definitely recommend.

Arrived next day. Perfect fit, plenty of storage pockets. Excellent quality. Looking forward to wearing it. Replaces a 10 year old Rukka.

Great feeling of quality throughout the jacket from the Gortex laminated finish to the zips and linings... Tested over several wet and cold rides, it delivered as promised on keeping out the wind with no cold spots and it surpassed my expectations for warmth... Highly recommended...

I purchased this Jacket as I wanted laminated goretex but didnt want to pay a premium price.

The jacket is comfortable although a bit tight around the neck when fully closed.

The water just beads off the goretex laminate keeping you warm and dry.

Loads of pockets and quality zips make this a great jacket

From the moment I tried this on, you can feel the quality. Not had a chance to try in the rain yet, but should I get caught out in my upcoming tour, I have every confidence I will stay dry. The fit is also excellent. I ordered the size I normally wear in casual clothing, and it fits lovely. Great service from sportsbike shop as well, and they honoured the price match guarantee. Great product from a great company.

Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for! It's still early days (only worn twice) but the quality feels great, the kits warm and I am confident it will last a good many years. Only downside is the back protector as it's Level 1 whilst all other armour is Level 2. This feels like a unnecessary corner to cut given the price of the kit and I have since upgraded. Last point; order the next size up to your normal sizing. I am normally a medium and needed to go large with this kit. Reading the reviews this is common feedback for this jacket so remember to go large lol!

I recently purchased this jacket having previously got a jacket with a waterproof lining. This is such an upgrade and I have appreciated it during the cold wet weather. I now don't have a dry jacket that feels wet, it is windproof as well so much warmer on the winter rides. Not worn it during any other season than winter yet but it is perfect for then.
I also appreciate the small details like velcro fold over pockets keeping anything inside dry. Cuffs on sleeves are easy to close with gloves on and the adjustments throughout the coat make it worth every penny.

Not worn in torrential rain yet, just normal miserable British rain but hasn't leaked so far. Jacket is fine and comfortable, but the neck/collar retaining hook is incredibly fiddly to use bare handed and impossible with gloved hands. Unfortunately you have to use it when off the bike/jacket worn open to stop it poking you in the face and neck.

Finally bit the bullet and bought this jacket, expensive but it is a quality piece of kit.

Have owned this jacket for about a month now. So far I am very impressed. Having previously owned Rukka, I was used to good quality gear that is 100% waterproof. I commute daily with a couple of Tours in a year, so needed like for like replacement, but really wasn't in the position to pay Rukka prices. This jacket was recommended by friends as a possible cheaper replacement. All I can say at this stage is it has passed the test, the jacket is well made, water just runs off and does not soak in, it is a comfortable fit and is warm. I have been through some massive torrential downpours in this jacket and it has not leaked at all. Excellent performance for a good price. I am a XL and XL fitted fine. Nice and snug on the body, adjustable arm tightness which is good. My only complaint is it could do with an optional storm collar, the collar is a little on the low side.

Comfortable, well made, waterproof. Sat on a soaking wet bike in a downpour and was bone dry at the end of the ride, didn't need the thermal layer as my legs rarely feel the cold. Quality item.

Purchased the jacket and matching trousers from Sportsbikeshop with the usual excellent service. Well made and everything just feels real quality and fits well also. Great to get a shorter length in the trouser as so many are made just too long and look terrible when you're off the bike. Used the suit this past weekend on a bike trip to the Isle of Skye and rode for several hours through very heavy rain and high winds. Glad to say the suit lived up to it's claims and I was perfectly dry underneath. The included inner lining is good quality too and could easily be worn as a light spring/autumn outdoor jacket when you get to your destination. Best quality motorcycle clothing I've had so far.

Looking around for a laminated goretex jacket brought me to this Richa Atlantic. Great quality plenty of pockets and waterproof as confirmed on my first ride wearing it. No it is not cheap but an excellent alternative to more expensive brands. Great service from Sportsbikeshop as usual.

Not tried in the wet yet but it's Gore-Tex so should be fine. The fit is really nice and comfortable with lots of adjustability in the arms and waist. The vents are good also so air flow on a hot day is good. The zip in liner doubles as a casual jacket. Gloves will fit over or under sleeves depending on what you prefer.
