Schuberth C3 Pro - Matt Black
Renowned quiet helmet with removable and washable interior
DetailsVerified Customer Reviews for Schuberth C3 Pro
Been buying Schubert helmets ever since they started and the c3 pro is my favourite, perfect fit, nice and quiet. And as for wind noise, been riding bike for 52 years, your outside in the air what do you expect? Great helmet, and couldn't resist at the price.
This is my 3rd C3 helmet, the C3 Pro is no longer being produced & my Schuberth Intercom does not fit the newer helmets (bad move for Schuberth customers) so will keep boxed before using.
Quality of helmets has been good & the only issues experienced with the C3s is the visor has leaked in heavy windy rain & also riding with cracked open on hot days buffeting from oncoming vehicles drops the visor - appears no way to adjust tension to stop this. Sun visor is very good when riding into tunnels a quick flip up & vision is maintained - unlike wearing sunglasses when yo go blind until the eyes adjust. Overall very good purchase.
I have been using this helmet for just over a week now and it is one of the quietest ones I've used. It was quite a snug fit for the first few days, but then it started to mould to my head.
I have found that in the pouring rain the pin lock gets fogged up inside due to so much moisture in the air. I had to adjust it twice already so this is the only reason I'm not giving an excellent score
The flip up visor is a little fiddly with gloves on as well as the sun visor on the side, but not annoying.
Overall I am very pleased.
The helmet's comfortable and well made but I'd also like to comment on the SBS service. Luis at the Reading store was unbelievably patient and professional with me. You really shouldn't buy a helmet anywhere else and you should avail yourself of the in store service, exceptional.
Close fitting, comfortable helmet. Excellent quality. Wasn't sure at first, I could only get the helmet on with the flip up, but apparently that is as per design/spec.
This is my 3rd C3 and it's as good as ever
I've tried lots of others but always revert back to the C3
The only issue is the neck roll - if you need to remove it you have to pull it backwards first or the little pins break off
Other than that it's excellent
This is a replacement for a C3, both are 2XL.
The C3 is much closer fitting than the C3 which was slightly baggy from new, however this was part of the reason for replacing the C3 as it was lifting at motorway speeds and it appears to be bedding in nicely.
There is a corner on the EPS across the brow that is annoying so I used my thumb to take the edge off.
Since the visor and seal are the same as the C3 I expect the pinlock to be overcome in winter rain, this requires adjustment of the pinlock to reduce as much as possible and in moonsoon rain the visor will leak past the seal, I may try the Shoei visor seal grease to see if this can reduce or stop that.
It is a solid helmet and I expect to get at least 50K out of it.
After reading reviews, I took the plunge, and I'm not disappointed, you can feel the quality of the materials. This is also the quietest helmet, I have owned. SBS were up to their usual high standards on communication and delivery
Great helmet, quiet and comfortable and with the pin lock visor already fitted an added bonus
After 8 years with a Schuberth S2 helmet I thought it was time for a change. I wanted a flip front helmet and as my current Schuberth helmet was such a good fit I decided to go for the C3 which is more reasonably priced than the C5. It has turned out to be all I hoped it would be. Extremely comfortable and surprisingly quite, even at speed. I hear more engine noise now rather than wind rush (which is pleasant) and I have reached speeds recently which I shouldn't be going at, but which I was previously deterred from by the wind noise. There are no draughts and it's a joy to use the flip front when topping up fuel. I would thoroughly recommend this helmet, especially at the Sportbikeshop price.
This is a good helmet and I am happy with it but there is room for improvement.
Positives: great build quality, good snug fit, pinlock works perfectly, great sound from the SC10UA intercom.
Negatives: Not silent and not noticeably quieter than my previous Nolan helmet, SC10UA intercom was a pain to fit, helmet front doesn't click into place when raised so it can slip down whilst walking about.
This is a far better fit than my old Shoei. It's only a little quieter though. The chin shield doesn't slot straight under my chin, needs to be positioned but isn't noticeable that it's there in use. The supplied & fitted pinlock works well with the visor easy to lift of close. The flip up needs a sharp push to ensure it's closed, unlike the Shoel, but it's easily opened. The litte tag on the chin strap to undo it is a nice touch too. Overall an excellent helmet that oozes quality.
This ticks all the boxes for me. Good wide main visor, multi position sun visor, decent ventilation and wash to operate flip front. I particularly like the way the visor stays in position when opening and closing flip front.
The quality of finish of the shell and lining are second to none. Very comfortable and light. Quiet too compared to other modulars. SBS gave excellent service, with good advice and super price. Product and SBS both 5 star
Good fit, excellent ventilation and quiet helmet
Comfy and quiet helmet. Button to raise front of helmet sticks a bit and shutting takes a bit of a slam to close. Drop down sun visor very good, Saves trying to put sunglasses on.. Doesnt fog up which is a major plus.
Doesnt have quite the same quality feel as my other helmet but time will tell.
Bought this to replace my old Schuberth C3, excellent helmet, easy to order and fast delivery all at a great price
First flip and already feels fab. Bought in readiness for a European tour so looking forward to a good airflow and comfort. Taken out for a good spin in readiness and good comfort level. Its also a plus that it looks good too. Sunglasses (prescription) fits easily too without causing ear discomfort.

The C3 has evolved into the C3 Pro. Improvements over the C3 include a new spoiler for improved aerodynamics for high speed riding making it the first flip-up ever to also be a good choice for the sports rider. Directionally stable with no drifting and no buffeting. Quietness is taken to another level thanks to its integrated acoustic collar giving just 82dB(A) at 100 km/h on a motorcycle without fairing. The fully removable and washable lining comprises Coolmax and microfibre giving even more comfort on long trips. The neck band is made from abrasion-proofed materials with a higher air out take thanks to bigger mesh fabric. Two-way-ventilation provides up to 9 litres of fresh air per second. Prepared for the Schuberth Rider Communication System, the specific C3 Pro SRC-System available separately. The integrated sun visor, easy to use thanks to the slide on the base of the helmet, can be lowered even further than its predecessor the C3.
Questions and Answers
Can Autocom speakers be installed in this helmet?
November 26, 2012Although the C3 Pro has its own dedicated intercom system you should have no problem fitting Autocom speakers into the helmet.
