Knox Richmond Denim Jeans Mk II - Black

I really like these jeans, they're fully lined with Kevlar which gives you that extra bit of reassurance should the worst happen. It's great how you can remove the knee armour from the outside using a zip and the hip armour is also very easy to remove. A word of warning, they are a very generous size. I've been a 36 inch waist for years, but the 36 in these buried me, I exchanged them for a 34 which are still on the large size but okay, I honestly think I could have got away with a 32, but I stuck with the 34. These are the best fitting jeans I own, super stretchy and comfortable. Did go down a size as others have suggested and the fit is spot on. The armour stays in place and is unobtrusive. Highly recommend

I already owned a pair of RST Denim Jeans but wanted more features. These Richmond jeans are excellent. Hip & Knee armour included, stretchy denim, codura and coolmax. The kelvar is full length of the leg. I'm 30 inch leg but the sizing is ample.

I bought these jeans for an extended stay in Andalucia, Spain, so they were a bit of a gamble for such a hot clime. I'd read that the sizing was "flexible" so ordered a 32" waist and also my usual size, 34". The 32" was a good fit on the waist, but too tight on my lower leg. The 34" was fine on my lower leg but felt too big on the waist. However, once the armour went in, and a belt was added, they were comfortable. The 32" waist were returned.
The jeans are very comfortable and warm enough at 11° on my run down to the Channel Tunnel.
Amazingly, when the temperatures started to rise, they are still comfortable, even at temperatures around 30°. The coolmax ingredient really does seem to work. I'm very pleased with the purchase. The rating would have been five stars if the waist was more realistic.

The trousers fit really well. I ordered my waist size (34) and they're a perfect fit with plenty of stretch for armour. Really comfortable.

Jeans look great. Love that the armour is so easy to remove. Comes with both the hip & knee armour. Haven't had the scratching issue from the knee armour zips that others have mentioned - might depend on the peg positions on your bike - I ride a KTM Duke for reference. About as close visually to regular jeans as could be. Nice soft and slightly stretchy feel. Haven't worn when baking hot yet. However, feel just right in temperature up-to the mid teens.
Only gripe would be sizing. Deduct at least 2/3 inches from your normal jeans waist size.

Wow this is what I have been looking for so long. Casual look, AA protection, soft feel, stretchy. I am usually 34, went with 32 and still comfortable. Will look to buy another colour while on sale

I tried many pairs of motorcycle trousers before I found these. I wanted some to go IN long boots. I tried leather, fabric and other denim, but for me these are the best. Very comfortable stretch material, tight fitting at the bottom of the leg so good for in boot fitting. Nice fit in the bum area - so many others have baggy bums. Comfortable armour although the zips on knee armour may be a problem on some bikes. Be sure that your knees are not near bike bodywork. ( no problem on my bike). They come up big and are very stretchy so try a size down. As usual amazing service from Sportsbikeshop.

Top jeans that actually fit , made of a stretchy fabric they look and fit like normal jeans even with the amour in , I won't be buying any other jeans from now on Knox is the one for me , highly recommend, and as allways excellent service from Sportsbikeshop thank you

Have just started buying Knox and kit and I have say I'm impressed with the quality and finish. Read the other reviews and took their advice and ordered a size smaller than I usually buy and it was spot on. Good fit keeps the armour in the right place and stretch gives excellent freedom of movement, and fully lined keeps you warm when riding. Highly recommend them.

I always look at sportsbikeshop reviews for everything I buy. Everyone said buy a size smaller for these jeans which I did. They fit perfectly. Just been out for 2 hour ride today, jeans are comfortable, warm and I thoroughly recommend them, especially at this price.

Waist wears big so probably order a size down. Nice quality and comfortable, no complaints. However, the zip for the knee armour is on the INSIDE of the leg so it had scratched the plastics on my old CB500X. I cut the metal dangly bits off these zips (meaning I have to thread through a bent paperclip to get the armour out) but noticed even the remaining nub has lightly scratched the frame of my MT09, going to have to come up with a hack to cover the nubs with material somehow

I wanted a pair of jeans to complement the textile trousers I normally wear. Good points for me; they are very comfortable and the armour fits well. I bought a 32 waist and regular length. I am 5'8" and weight about 145lb. I don't like tight clothing and these were spot on, if that is some help. I did try the short length as well but this short pair was really loose around the waist. So I stuck with the regular. They roll up inside the legs easily and stay there if they need shortening. Happy to say I don't know how they would perform in an off, but please to have armour that fits in the right places.
