Richa Toulon Leather Jacket - Black / White

I love this thing! Took a couple of tries to get the size right. I'm usually a Medium, but had to go up to Large (44) to get a good fit. Take advantage of Sportbikeshop's return policy, it's great!

Aged look to the leather makes it look slightly vintage. It's stylish enough to wear out and about, and the hood is a nice touch. Hood is also removable if it doesn't agree with you.

It is sometimes hard to find jackets that have armour covering all three of the main areas, but this jacket does not disappoint with elbow, shoulder and back protectors. All removable.

Neck is a bit stiff, but I'm sure that will loosen with wear.

Very comfortable on and off the bike, protection in all the right places which is also all removable. Could wear down the pub it looks that good.

Probably done about 400 miles with this jacket now.

First all, with sizing, other people commented on getting a size bigger, I am XL and I bought XL and it fitted nicely, however, I am only using this jacket during summer, and therefore only have a t-shirt underneath. I think if you were intending on wearing this with more layers under, you would indeed to go one size up.

In my opinion, this jacket would not be a great all year jacket, I doubt it is particularly water proof around the neck, and I don't think this jacket would keep you very warm, there isn't much thermal material inside, plus if you did plan getting sizes up and wearing layers underneath, I don't think it would fit very well and I think would end up being hard to move around in - however that is only my perceived opinion.

For summer riding however I love it. Not too restrictive, so feel you can move around on your bike freely. Feels cool to wear despite the lack of any obvious ventilation.

The jacket does come with CE armour, elbows shoulders and upper back, although these feel more like gel pads (I'm not 100% sure what it is actually made from) rather than more solid or harder armour.

The jacket has 2 zipped outer pockets, and one inside. The jacket is relatively heavy.

It also has ties around the waist, and the jacket does come with the smaller size zip on the back, so you can zip it to your bike trousers. The jacket in general also feels like it's of a good quality.

One thing to be aware of, I would consider the colour of the leather to me more like a very dark brown rather than jet black, it also has that intentional faded look in places, I guess to give the jacket that retro look that seems to be flavour of the month at the moment, I really love it, but just be aware as the picture does make it look jet black, and it isn't.

I do love this jacket though it's great, I like the fact that it zips into my bike trousers which are a completely different brand (I guess they make some kind of standard across bike gear in general so they can zip together) I like the flexibility, the look, and hopefully if you ever did go road sliding it would help to keep some of your skin on...

Expensive but worth it, particularly if you just plan to have a jacket for summer commuting / casual riding or touring.

Fits perfect with one size bigger than ordinary. Like that its pockets on the inside of the jacket as well. One downside is that the back protection don't go all the way down the spine, only mid to top of the back.

Great looking jacket, bump up a size for perfect fit.

I'm regular size and the jacket fits me perfectly. Couldn't have expected more.
