My wife is a size 8 and is obsessively choosy about jeans. They must by skinny, stylish, a good fit and good quality. So finding an acceptable pair of protective m/c jeans has been a nightmare. What a relief that these Knox jeans tick all the boxes and the easily removable knee and hip pads are a major bonus.
The original size 8 was way too small but the size 10 replacement is a perfect size 8. With just enough room in the bum and high waist band they're comfortable when seated whilst a good fit when walking. The Spectra lining extends from the waist to just above the ankle, adding to the overall thickness and presumably warmth. (My wife feels the cold).

Knox knee armour is concealed in a pocket that is accessed from the outside by an invisible zip. A smart system holds the knee protector against the knee when riding. The knee armour pocket height is also adjustable to give the perfect fit and riding position. Off the bike, the knee and hip protectors are removed in seconds for all-day comfort. Extra care is taken in the construction of the Spectra lining to avoid bulky exterior seams.
