Rukka Flexius Gore-Tex Textile Jacket - Black

Like many others I kept on putting off buying Rukka due to the price. I'm retiring this year and have started volunteering for Blood Bikes so I bit the bullet and got this jacket. So far so good. I have found the jacket to be very comfortable but I have some reservations about the in built snood as I found it dug into my neck a bit too much so that's come off for now. Well made, strong Velcro on the cuffs enough pockets for me and a decent liner which so far has proved to be warm enough although it's not been tested in what I would call "the cold' as yet.
Still awaiting some rain to test out the much hyped waterproofing. My only gripe now is that I just can't get trousers to fit me as I'm only a 30 inch waist ☹️

I've toyed with the idea of buying a rukka gore-tex suit for some time, however after only a couple of uses in poor conditions I am so pleased to have got it. Well placed arm, shoulder & back protection,
Fully waterproof tested in torrential downpours keeps you dry. The only drawback for me is the extended neoprene collar which at high speed can become detached from the velcro tab and flap around. Overall, a fantastic product.

I've dithered for years about paying the extra premium for buying a Rukka jacket, though I have had a pair of Rukka Apollo gloves and been very pleased with them, well after taking the plunge I'm extremely pleased, just had a trip upto Oban and the jacket performed brilliantly, ( plus I bought this jacket discounted as the new version isn't as well specified as this jacket is, so even happier )

Great Jacket, well worth the price, sizing was the same as a normal jacket on me too.

An outstanding jacket as you'd expect from a leading brand. The quality of this jacket is noticeable from the moment you pick it up. I can't recommend this enough. Absolutely worth every penny.

Can only give general review as have not used it in bad weather yet. So far it is an excellent jacket fit is good, just a little short in the body compared to my previous one, once collar is in place it feels really wind proof, the light rain just fell off it.. Not tried to wear gloves inside arms yet, but my gloves fit snugly over arms so no wind ingress.

I'm pretty hard on kit as an instructor so decided to finally invest in decent gore tex kit and was glad I did so! The size guide was spot on and the usual prompt delivery meant I had my jacket the day after ordering.
I'm use its performed well, remaining dry despite day in day out, all day use. I have a few quibbles over the design ; the sleeves fasten via velcro straps and the don't tighten down amazingly well, letting wind and rain in a little.
My jackets primary zip also failed after two years. That being said, the jacket was returned and the garment repaired all under the excellent warranty and SBS couldn't have made the process any easier.
I'd buy the jacket again in a heart beat.

Really happy with the Jacket. Fits really well (I made sure to try a couple of jackets at another store before ordering, as I wasn't sure of the fit) and is a great quality feel. I've not tried it in the wet yet, so I can't comment on it's waterproofing abilities. The jacket is lovely and warm, but I can see that it would be too warm to wear in summer, as there's only one vent zip across the back. There are two side vent zips that zip up from the bottom of the jacket towards your armpits, but I can't see how that would let air circulate through. All in all though, very happy indeed with it, and Sportsbikshop's value for money yet again.

This jacket is brilliant, for style I have to give it a 10. Not worn it in the rain yet but on a chilly day its another 10. The neck wrap looks great and really does the job. Would not recommend when weather warms up as you start to cook real quick as not much ventilation but not going to mark it down for that as this is primarily a winter jacket. Its expensive I know but I can assure you on experience so far money well spent. Go on treat yourself.

Just back from a tour of Scotland amidst some heavy rain on the way home. Loads of pockets and the inside two accommodate a lot of stuff. Warm, well-made, rainproof everything, and never let in a drop. You will simply get what you pay for. I would like to think that this product should last for years judging by the quality. Totally recommended

They say, buy cheap, buy twice. Easy to use this as justification for spending nearly £500 on a jacket but it wasn't enough for me. A friend of mine came off his bike at 13 mph, tearing through his cheap textile jacket down to the skin. He bought Rukka and swore by it, so I did too. Have covered over 1400 miles and jacket is still brand new. A solid fit, (46 for a 6'6 slim male) with suitable arm and body length. Every 40 minute motorway journey has been a breeze, come heavy rain or sun. It vents well for the UK commuter and I've bone dry every time. From someone who had to stretch theme selves to get this jacket - do it. Buy it once and keep it for 5 plus years.
